The game was closer than the final score indicated, featuring five lead changes, but Perth pulled away with a 16-point scoring run. Joondalup's victory came despite being outrebounded 59-38, with their clutch free-throw shooting (22-from-33) helping secure the win.

East Perth Eagles dominated Goldfields Giants 97-64 at Morley Sport and Recreation Centre. The Eagles controlled the paint, outscoring the Giants 58-20 inside.
