Australian Rebecca Allen's Chicago Sky teammate Angel Reese is the cover athlete for the soon-to-be-released NBA 2K26 video game.
NBA 2K said on its Twitter account: "🗣️ She’s got next. Angel Reese is your #NBA2K26 WNBA Edition Cover Athlete! Pre-order NBA 2K26 now!"
Reese responded: "COVERGIRL. THANK YOU @nba2k 🥺❤️"
Second-year WNBA star Reese has built her reputation on rebounding after leading the LSU Tigers to the 2023 NCAA national championship and was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player. Nicknamed the “Bayou Barbie,” Reese became one of college basketball’s most marketable athletes, blending elite athleticism with charisma and confidence.
Her bold playing style and unapologetic self-expression made her a polarising and widely celebrated figure in women’s sports.
In 2024, Reese declared for the WNBA Draft and was selected 7th overall by the Chicago Sky. She quickly made an impact in her rookie season, becoming one of the league’s top rebounders while continuing to build her personal brand and social media presence. Reese’s influence extends beyond basketball — she’s a voice for women’s empowerment, NIL-era athletes, and Black excellence in sports.
NBA MVP and Finals MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the cover athlete for the NBA Edition.
