Bullets star import shuts down homesick rumours

Brisbane Bullets have responded to speculation the star NBL is trying to make a hasty exit.

Brisbane Bullets import guard Javon Freeman-Liberty has shot down rumours he is homesick and could leave the club, declaring he is fully committed to Matt Logue from CODE Sports Basketball.
Social media has blown up in recent days after it was reported Freeman-Liberty was missing home and weighing up his future at the Bullets.
But the American, who played 22 NBA games for Toronto in 2023/24, told Code Sports he is locked in on helping the Bullets become a force.

“I’ve heard the talk, but I came to Brisbane to hoop, to win games with my teammates, and that’s exactly where my focus is,” Freeman-Liberty said.
“My head’s not in the rumours, it’s on the court. I came here to compete and represent the Bullets, and that’s where all my energy is right now.”
The homesick claims were also strongly denied by Brisbane CEO Mal Watts when contacted by Code Sports on Wednesday.
It’s understood Freeman-Liberty is also upset by claims he is questioning his time in the NBL.
