Australia have continued their FIBA U16 Asia Cup demolitions with a 131-42 win over India.

Australia have defeated India 131-42 at MBank Arena in Mongolia to continue their FIBA U16 Asia Cup campaign.

What Happened

The Crocs yet again showed their immense pressure on defence, suffocating the Indian ball handlers. India turned the ball over 34 times in total to Australia’s 15 and struggled to string together consecutive scores.

This came off the back of a 24 steal and nine block display from the Crocs.They also held a huge rebound differential against India, winning the count by more than double their opponents tally (66-30), with 30 offensive rebounds giving the green and gold great second chance opportunities. While no one for the Crocs had double digit rebounds, Awak Machar (9) and Alex Mabbott (8) helped the team in regaining possession.Offensively, Australia had three 20+ point scorers helping them to an 89-point smashing.

Will Hamilton (22) was the leading scorer in the game, with Isaiah Jorgenson and Lucas Byrne having 20 a piece. Jorgenson was the player of the game. Along with his great offensive game - shooting 8/11 from the fiend - he had five rebounds, two assists, three blocks and five steals to round out his stat line

Overall, they shot 57.1 percent from the field on a massive 97 attempts, while they got up 22 shots beyond the arc at just under 41 per cent.Luke Paul was again taunting with a triple-double, adding nine points, sixrebounds and eight assists to his tournament totals, after a huge performance against Bahrain.

The Crocs now play Lebanon on Tuesday, September 2 in their final group game at 1:30pm AEST.
