Several WNBL players have achieved significant career milestones across the opening two rounds of the season.

Southside Melbourne's Cayla George continued her climb up the league's record books during Friday's Indigenous Round victory over Sydney, her former side.

The three-time Olympian played her 373rd WNBL game, moving past Kristen Veal into sixth place on the competition's all-time games played list.

George now sits behind fifth-placed Karen Dalton (375 games), with Rachel Sporn and Lucille Bailie equal-third on 377 games each.

The WNBL23 MVP also recorded her 430th career steal on Friday, placing her 10th on the all-time steals list and overtaking her current club coach Kristi Harrower.

George's latest achievements come one week after she moved into third place on the WNBL's all-time scorers list.

Bendigo's Marianna Tolo became just the second player in league history to record 500 career blocks. She trails only Jenny Whittle, who holds the all-time record with 672 blocks.

Adelaide's Steph Talbot reached 250 career steals in Round 1, while Perth's Amy Atwell scored her 1,000th career point during Sunday's win over Sydney.

Atwell, a Paris Olympic Games bronze medallist, reached the milestone in just her 67th game in the league.
