Thomas Wilson delivered a spectacular 42-point performance as Melbourne secured a hard-fought 89-86 win against Knox at Dandenong Basketball Stadium. Wilson was on fire, shooting an outstanding 14-from-21 from the field, including a remarkable 8-from-11 from three-point range. Michael Wearne added 18 points, while Harrison Froling contributed 15 points and seven rebounds for Melbourne.

The contest featured 34 lead changes, with Melbourne overcoming Knox's 11-point advantage at one stage. Despite Knox controlling the boards 46-33, Melbourne's efficiency from deep proved decisive, connecting on 17-from-38 three-pointers (44.7%). Tad Dufelmeier led Knox with 22 points and five steals, while Norvel Pelle registered a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds on 8-from-11 shooting.
