Davis spoke to Kelsey Browne about the respect he had for head coach Brian Goorjian during the show.

"He's like a father figure to me, he believed in me, I don't have a dad, so he's like my second dad,” Davis said.

"It feels good, there is positive energy around me now, and I will stay true to myself.”

Asked about his match-up with Bryce Cotton, Davis was coy but competitive (with a smile): “I wanna bust his ass every chance I get … the respect is there. I grew up watching him.

"MVP wasn’t my goal this year; it was being part of a brotherhood, a family, but every time I play him, I’m trying to bust his ass."

Damon Lowery says Kendric Davis deserves the MVP, while former MVP Derek Rucker has picked Cotton to win.
