- Exum is out indefinitely with knee soreness
- Hand and writst injuries limited him to just 20 games last season
- Exum recently re-signed with the Mavericks for one year
Australian Boomers and Mavericks guard Dante Exum will be sidelined indefinitely with right knee soreness, reports Mike Curtis of the Dallas Morning News.
Head coach Jason Kidd told reporters there is currently no timetable for Exum’s return.
The 29-year-old missed the Mavericks’ opening two games of the 2025–26 pre-season and had recently re-signed with the team on a one-year extension.
On a revamped Dallas roster, Exum was expected to compete with D’Angelo Russell for minutes at point guard alongside No. 1 draft pick Cooper Flagg.
Exum battled wrist and hand injuries last season, limiting him to just 20 appearances for the Mavericks.
