Jock Landale is about to get paid in the offseason.
The Aussie and Memphis Grizzlies big man has shown so signs of slowing down in the middle of a career-best season after one of his best performances of the 2025-26 campaign despite a loss to the New Orleans Pelicans.
Thought to be in doubt for today's game due to personal reasons, Landale took the court for the Grizzlies and started at the centre position, recording a monstrous double-double along the way.
Already averaging career-highs of 11.6 points and 6.4 rebounds per game, while shooting just under 40% from the three-point line, the 30-year-old was utterly dominant against the Pelicans frontcourt in partnership with power forward Jaren Jackson Jr. The pair combined for 50 points and 13 rebounds but without star guard Ja Morant, Memphis never had the guard production to help carry them over the line against the Pelicans.
His night even included an alley-oop dunk and a putback slam - putting to bed the rumours he can't fly high above the rim.
Landale has set himself up for a drastic pay increase when he comes off contract at the end of the season after signing a veteran minimum deal with the Grizzlies after two seasons at the Houston Rockets.
In other 'Aussies in the NBA' news, Tyrese Proctor hit the court for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Dyson Daniels led the Atlanta Hawks to a big win over the Phoenix Suns, while Johnny Furphy started for the Indiana Pacers in an upset win over the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder.

NBA BOX SCORE: Oklahoma City Thunder vs Indiana Pacers
Aussie wing Johnny Furphy started and played 33 minutes as the Indiana Pacers pulled off a major upset, beating defending champions and last season's NBA Finals opponents the Oklahoma City Thunder 117-114 at the Paycom Center.
Despite struggling from the field, going just 2-from-9 and 0-from-3 from beyond the arc, Furphy still had a major impact after grabbing 10 rebounds and making some key defensive plays to help Indiana record the victory.
Furphy also had three assists, one steal and one block.
NBA BOX SCORE: Atlanta Hawks vs Phoenix Suns
Dyson Daniels was the best Atlanta Hawk in the plus-minus category as his team recorded a much-needed 110-103 win over the Phoenix Suns at State Farm Arena.
