Demand is outweighing supply and that's a challenge every Australian state basketball association from Basketball Victoria, Basketball NSW to Basketball WA has identified in their strategic plans.
There are simply more players than basketball courts and availability of court time at stadiums is limited as more Australians - more than 1.3 million nationwide - hoop at least once a year.
basketball.com.au has compiled this list of Basketball Courts Near Me from the most picturesque to the most remote but it's still not enough.
Parents of the next Lauren Jackson, Josh Giddey, Jade Melbourne and Dyson Daniels are searching for alternatives and there are numerous options for backyard courts designed to fit the space. There is choice on top of choice.
Here are nine Australian companies that mums and dads can use to cut through the anxiety of fully supporting the development of their budding stars, or for themselves, scratch the itch of shooting some hoops without having to leave home.
All nine provide similar services, including a 3D court creator, so our recommendation is to price compare before making your decision.
