Isobel tolls for Amoore's Washington Mystics in Dream sweep

WNBA Scores: Atlanta Dream 93 def. Washington Mystics 75 (Final)
Australian guard Isobel Borlase, 22, and the fourth-seeded Atlanta Dream have swept fellow Australian Georgia Amoore and the fifth-seeded Washington Mystics out of the 2026 WNBA playoffs, winning Game 2 93-75 at CareFirst Arena in Washington on Thursday (AEST).
Atlanta never trailed. The Dream led 24-17 after the first quarter and 41-35 at half-time, held a 65-58 lead at the last break and won the fourth quarter 28-17, with a largest lead of 19. Allisha Gray scored 22 points with four steals, Jordin Canada had 19 points and 11 assists, and Angel Reese added 15 points, seven rebounds and three blocks. Washington turned the ball over 19 times to Atlanta's eight.
Borlase played five stints off the bench for 16 minutes. She finished a running layup from a Rhyne Howard pass with 3:46 left in the third quarter and made the free throw, then assisted on Canada threes at 3:46 and 3:22 of the fourth, before hitting a 19-foot pull-up with 1:51 left to make it 91-73. She finished with five points on 2-from-3 shooting, two rebounds, three assists and no turnovers.

Amoore started at point guard and played 28 minutes for two points, five rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block, but went 1-from-5 from the field and missed all four of her three-point attempts. Sonia Citron led Washington with 25 points and Kiki Iriafen had 15 points and 16 rebounds.

Atlanta wins the best-of-three first-round series 2-0, so the Game 3 that was listed for Atlanta is not needed.
Borlase and the Dream host Rebecca Allen and Anneli Maley's New York Liberty in Game 1 of the semi-finals, with the tip-off time yet to be confirmed.
WNBA Scores: Dallas Wings 108 def. Golden State Valkyries 100 (OT) (Final)
Fellow Australians Alanna Smith and Miela Sowah did not get on the floor as the Dallas Wings beat the Golden State Valkyries 108-100 in overtime at College Park Center in Arlington, Texas, to level their first-round series at 1-1. Smith, 30, is out with a left lower-leg injury, and Sowah, 26, was a DNP (coach's decision) for Golden State.
The game was tied 93-93 at the end of regulation before Dallas won the extra period 15-7. Arike Ogunbowale scored 45 points, including 16-from-18 at the free-throw line, Alysha Clark added 21 on 6-from-7 shooting, and Gabby Williams had 36 for the Valkyries. Game 3 is in San Francisco at 11:00am AEST on Saturday, October 3.
