'Who's saying no?': Cadee supports Foxwell's LSU move

NBL legend and basketball.com.au contributor Jason Cadee believes no one should have an issue with South East Melbourne Phoenix star Owen Foxwell choosing to chase "life-changing" money to leave the NBL and play college basketball, even if it meant he didn't feature in the upcoming playoffs.
Draft Express expert Johnathan Givony first reported Foxwell had committed to SEC powerhouse, LSU, for next season with the 22-year-old reportedly taking up a mega NIL deal to leave the Phoenix with one season remaining on his deal.
Speaking on the latest edition of Cut to the Jase featuring six-time MVP Bryce Cotton, Cadee said there's not one person who wouldn't take the money on offer in Foxwell's situation.
"If someone came along to your job and said 'hey stop what you're doing and go and earn 10 times more next year' tell me one person who's saying no to that because they might have a few things they've got to finish next week," the 424-game, 15-year NBL veteran said.
"Come on, leave me alone.
"Anyone in their right mind (would take it), and I think even South Easy would be supportive of Foxy because... playing for that kind of money changes your whole world."
Foxwell has enjoyed a career-year in the NBL, helping lead the Phoenix to third position on the ladder at the end of the regular season, while averaging 11.1 points, 4.5 assists and three rebounds per game.
The Melbourne product also starred for the Boomers, starting at the point guard during their FIBA Asia Cup victory last year and to a recent series win over the New Zealand Tall Blacks.
Foxwell, who has been the starting point guard for the Phoenix all season, is considered one of the brightest rising talents in the league and Cadee said supporting a prospect like him would pay off for South East Melbourne down the track.
"If you look after him, I tend to believe that Foxy would come back to them right after it, so congrats to him," Cadee said.
Fans seem to agree with Cadee's take on the Foxwell situation following a post on our @bouncepass Instagram from the latest episode of Cut to the Jase.

The Phoenix will look to lock in a semi-finals appearance against the Adelaide 36ers when they host the Perth Wildcats in the play-in qualifier at John Cain Arena on Thursday night from 7.30pm AEDT.
