Clearly the Chicago Bulls weren't "bullsh*tting" today, unlike the Houston Rockets.
Rockets coach Ime Udoka has taken aim at his team and at NBA officials after Josh Giddey recorded a double-double to spark a 132-124 victory for the Chicago Bulls at the United Center.
While Giddey struggled from the field, going just 4-from-14 and 3-from-8 from beyond the arc, he orchestrated the Bulls' offence to perfection with 13 assists along with 15 points as the home team shot 50% from the field and 50% from the three-point line to earn an eight-point win over the Western Conference playoff contenders, who just days ago put a beatdown on Dyson Daniels and the Atlanta Hawks.
Houston made a last-ditch effort to take the game over with some incredible shotmaking from superstar Kevin Durant but the Bulls responded when needed to close it out.
But Rockets coach, Udoka, went hard at his team for not being ready to play against the Bulls on the road.
"Poor start, disrespected the game, not prepared from the get go. Just non aggressive following them around, watching them shoot...weren't prepared to play at all," he said in his post-game press conference.
"Stop bullsh*tting."
Udoka also called out the officiating from the game.
"Flagrant was soft as hell, it's nothing. And then the techs were soft too. I'm not about to complain about a soft crew," he said.
The Bulls still sit firmly out of the play-in race in the Eastern Conference in 12th spot with a 29-42 record.
NBA BOX SCORE: Chicago Bulls vs Houston Rockets
Giddey fell just short of a triple-double in the victory after only grabbing seven rebounds.
Lachlan Olbrich was a DNP Coach's Decision in the game.
NBA BOX SCORE: Atlanta Hawks vs Memphis Grizzlies
Dyson Daniels and Jock Landale both had impressive games as the Atlanta Hawks demolished the hapless Memphis Grizzlies.
Needing to respond after having their 11-game winning streak snapped by the Rockets, the Hawks did just that, finishing with a 142-109 win at State Farm Arena.
Daniels had 12 points, five rebounds and four assists in the win while Landale had 11 points and four rebounds off the bench.
The win puts Atlanta a game clear of the Philadelphia 76ers for sixth spot in the Eastern Conference.
NBA BOX SCORE: Portland Trail Blazers vs Brooklyn Nets
Former Australian Boomer Matisse Thybulle continues to make a significant impact off the bench for the Portland Trail Blazers after recording 10 points and three steals in 19 minutes in a 134-99 win at home over the Brooklyn Nets.
Thybulle went 3-from-5 from the field and 1-from-3 from beyond the arc.
