Koen Sapwell delivered a masterful performance with 37 points, 10 assists, and six rebounds as Central Districts dominated Woodville 116-84 at STARplex. Sapwell was on fire, shooting an outstanding 68.8% from the field including 5-from-8 from beyond the arc. Efemena Abogidi recorded a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Jack Stanwix added 16 points and eight assists in the comprehensive victory.
Central Districts displayed exceptional efficiency throughout, shooting 54.5% from the field and 40% from three-point range compared to Woodville's lacklustre 38.8% shooting. Despite Bryce Sloan's 23 points and Steven Parfitt's double-double (15 points, 12 rebounds) for Woodville, Central Districts controlled the glass with a 48-40 rebounding advantage and dominated the assist category 27-13. The home team led for over 36 minutes, building their largest lead to 34 points in a statement victory that showcased their offensive firepower and team chemistry.
West Adelaide 81 def South Adelaide 80 — Watch the Replay
West Adelaide secured a thrilling one-point victory against South Adelaide at Mitchell Park Sports and Community Centre on Friday night. Cameron Huefner led the scoring with 22 points on efficient 41.2 percent shooting from the field, while Lat Mayen delivered a dominant double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Keanu Rasmussen contributed an impressive all-round performance with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists.
The match featured nine lead changes and remained tight throughout, with West Adelaide holding the lead for just over 37 minutes despite South Adelaide's superior three-point shooting (48.1 percent to 36.7 percent). South Adelaide's Lloyd McVeigh topped all scorers with 19 points, while Kaleb Warner added 18 points including four three-pointers. Chris Brandon recorded a massive double-double with 13 points and 17 rebounds for South Adelaide, but it wasn't enough as West Adelaide's balanced attack and superior free-throw shooting (14-from-23 compared to South Adelaide's 5-from-11) proved decisive in the narrow victory.
