California won by 44 points at home, scoring 78 and holding SMU to 34, with junior guard Lulu Twidale delivering a high-volume perimeter performance across 31 minutes.
Twidale finished with 25 points on 8-from-14 shooting, including 7-from-11 from three-point range, while adding five rebounds and three assists. She scored efficiently from beyond the arc, converting at 63.6 per cent, and also went 2-of-2 from the free-throw line. Twidale attempted 11 of California’s three-point shots and was responsible for 21 of her 25 points from long range. She committed three turnovers and one personal foul, recording one steal.
