Aussies shine in college hoops: Condon’s 8-8-8, Rapp’s Breakout, Johnston and D’Arcy step up

A big day for Australians in U.S. college basketball on Friday, November 28, 2025 (AEDT) as Alex Condon delivered an 8–8–8 line, Austin Rapp hit five threes, and Will Johnston and Paddy D’Arcy posted strong outings across marquee tournaments.

Rady Children’s Invitational

Junior forward Alex Condon, from Perth, delivered a strong all-around performance despite Florida’s narrow loss to TCU. The 6'11 big logged 36 minutes, finishing with 8 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists, adding a block and shooting 4–7 at the line. Condon continued to showcase his elite passing feel and versatility as one of the Gators’ most impactful two-way contributors.

Senior guard Will Johnston, from Sydney, produced a solid scoring outing in Richmond’s one-point loss to Furman. The 6'3 guard logged 22 minutes, finishing with 10 points on 4–12 shooting, including two made threes. Johnston added two fouls and two turnovers while providing floor spacing and offensive aggression throughout a tight contest.

Sophomore forward Austin Rapp, from Melbourne, delivered a breakout performance in Wisconsin’s high-scoring win over Providence. The 6'10 forward poured in a season-high 20 points on 7–15 shooting, drilling five three-pointers, while adding eight rebounds, one assist, three blocks and a steal in 31 impactful minutes. Rapp showcased his stretch-forward range and interior activity in one of the strongest games of his college career.

The 6'6 guard logged 20 minutes, contributing two points, three rebounds, one assist, and two steals, while going a perfect 2–2 at the free-throw line. Though the shots didn’t fall from deep, D’Arcy provided defensive energy and length on the perimeter.
