Patty Mills to Brisbane? Gaze's Bullets bombshell
Australian basketball legend Patty Mills could be joining the Brisbane Bullets according to Andrew Gaze.

Australian basketball legend Patty Mills could lead the revival of the Brisbane Bullets in the NBL next season, according to the league's greatest of all-time in Andrew Gaze.
On SEN's The Run Home in Victoria, Gaze said he had heard Mills could be returning to the NBL for the first time since playing for the Melbourne Tigers in 2011 and Will Weaver's Bullets could be the favourite to land the 2020 Olympic bronze medallist.
"A little birdie has given me some information and it's that Patty Mills, he's currently playing in Spain because he never got picked up in the NBA, and next year, he will be returning to the NBL and the birdie said that he'll be playing for the Brisbane Bullets next season," Gaze, a seven-time NBL MVP, said on his SEN show with Andy Maher.
"Patty Mills back in the NBL next season, playing for the NBL... well not playing for the NBL, back in the NBL... he will be playing for the NBL because I'm sure (they will be) helping the Bullets get him to come back.
"But the Brisbane Bullets is the one that seems to be the hottest.
"I'm declaring it, from a reasonably reliable source."
Landing Mills, an NBA champion who played more than 13 years in the league with the Portland Trail Blazers, San Antonio Spurs, Brooklyn Nets, Atlanta Hawks, Miami Heat, Utah Jazz and LA Clippers, would be a landmark signing for the Bullets who have struggled for marquee signings since their return to the NBL more than a decade ago.
Attracting Mills to southeast Queensland would be a significant statement from Weaver, the club's new head coach and president of basketball operations, with the five-time Olympian still a contributor on the court as shown by his current form with La Laguna Tenerife in Spain.
Outside of Lamar Patterson when he first arrived in Brisbane and Aron Baynes joining the Bullets, the franchise have not been able to attract marquee free agents to the club after pursuing the likes of Matthew Dellavedova, Will McDowell-White and more in past seasons.
