Think the Chicago Bulls are in full tank mode? Someone forgot to tell the players as Billy Donovan's team overcame the Phoenix Suns without Aussie star Josh Giddey.
Giddey missed the clash with Phoenix after rolling his ankle against the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday but the injury is not considered serious with the Boomers point guard's status as day-to-day.
A cameo from former Illawarra Hawk and Chicago two-way forward Lachlan Olbrich helped the Bulls record a 105-103 win over the Suns at the Mortgage Matchup Center.
Olbrich played 17 minutes off the bench for four points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals with the South Australian going 2-from-6 from the field and being even in the plus-minus category.
The 22-year-old is eligible to play in the team's last 19 regular season games.
Despite so many injuries and the Bulls considered a team which is looking to tank for a high draft pick later this year, the victory was Chicago's second in the past three games.
NBA BOX SCORE: Phoenix Suns vs Chicago Bulls
Josh Giddey missed Chicago's 105-103 road win over the Phoenix Suns but fellow Aussie Lachlan Olbrich got his chance playing 17 minutes off the bench for four points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals as the Bulls recorded their second win in their past three games.
It was Olbrich's 20th game of the season and the 2025 NBL champion will get more opportunity with the Bulls' roster riddled with injuries to close the season.
NBA BOX SCORE: Minnesota Timberwolves vs Toronto Raptors
Aussie veteran Joe Ingles (personal reasons) missed a 115-107 for the Minnesota Timberwolves over the Toronto Raptors at the Target Center.
Five players scored in double figures for the in-form Timberwolves with star guard Anthony Edwards leading the way with 22 points.
