Atwell fires Australia into World Cup Play-In

Australia secured a place in the FIBA Women's 3x3 World Cup Play-In round against China after splitting its final two Pool B games.
The Gangurrus fell 20-18 to Spain before responding with a 21-18 victory over Hungary to finish pool play with a 2-2 record.

Australia came within two points of a direct quarter-final berth but could not contain Spain's outside shooting.
Marena Whittle led Australia with nine points and seven rebounds, shooting 3-from-7 from beyond the arc. Amy Atwell added seven points while Hannah Hank and Emma Clarke combined for nine rebounds.
Spain's scoring was carried almost exclusively by Txell Alarcón and Alba Prieto, who each scored nine points and combined for six made two-pointers.

Australia opened its FIBA Women's 3x3 World Cup campaign in Pool B with a split result, defeating host nation Mongolia before falling narrowly to the United States.

Australia controlled the glass and generated enough inside scoring to overcome a hot-shooting Mongolian outfit.
Hannah Hank led the way with nine points and six rebounds, scoring seven of Australia's 11 one-point field goals. Amy Atwell added seven points, including three two-pointers, while Emma Clarke produced a strong all-round game with four points and a game-high nine rebounds.
