NBA Scores: Washington Wizards 115 Charlotte Hornets 119
The Charlotte Hornets edged the Washington Wizards 119–115 in a tight, high-scoring contest, closing stronger late after Washington led by one at halftime.
Charlotte had balance across the floor, with former NBL Next Star LaMelo Ball steering the offence (20 points, 11 assists) and Brandon Miller filling the box score with 21 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists as the Hornets generated enough separation in the fourth quarter.
For Washington, former NBL Next Star Alex Sarr continued to show his offensive upside, leading the Wizards with 24 points on 11-of-19 shooting, though the visitors struggled to convert stops late as Charlotte shot 52 percent from the field.
Australian wing Josh Green logged 15 minutes off the bench for Charlotte, finishing with six points on a perfect 2-of-2 shooting from deep. Green’s minutes came in short bursts, providing floor spacing and defensive coverage as the Hornets leaned on their starters down the stretch.
Charlotte improved to 18–28 with the win, while Washington was left ruing a defensive lapse in the final period after matching the Hornets shot-for-shot through three quarters.

NBA Scores: Cleveland Cavaliers 119 Orlando Magic 105
The Cleveland Cavaliers pulled away late to beat the Orlando Magic 119–105, winning the fourth quarter 37–35 after building steady control across the middle periods.
Cleveland was driven by a dominant night from Donovan Mitchell, who poured in 36 points with nine assists, repeatedly breaking down Orlando’s defence in isolation and transition. The Cavaliers shot 53 percent from the field and 44 percent from three, consistently answering any Magic run.
Australian guard Tyrese Proctor made the most of his opportunity off the bench, scoring 12 points in 10 minutes on a perfect 4-of-4 shooting, including 2-of-2 from three. Proctor’s scoring burst helped Cleveland stretch the margin late in the third quarter, providing instant offence without disrupting flow.
Orlando was led by Paolo Banchero’s 27 points and Desmond Bane’s 20, but the Magic struggled to keep pace from the perimeter, shooting just 28 percent from deep. Cleveland’s depth and shot-making proved decisive as the game opened up in the final period.
NBA Scores: Boston Celtics 111 Chicago Bulls 114
The Chicago Bulls held off the Boston Celtics 114–111 at the United Center, riding a decisive third quarter to extend their winning streak to five straight — and two in a row since Josh Giddey’s return.
Chicago flipped the game with a 36–27 third quarter, stretching a narrow halftime deficit into control before executing well enough late to repel Boston’s push. Coby White led the Bulls with 22 points and seven assists, while Nikola Vucevic added 16 points and seven rebounds as Chicago shot 47 percent from three.
Australian guard Josh Giddey, playing his second game back from injury, again came off the bench, finishing with four points, eight rebounds and 10 assists in 24 minutes. While his scoring was limited, Giddey’s playmaking steadied Chicago’s second unit and helped maintain offensive flow during key stretches.
Boston was carried by Jaylen Brown (33 points), but the Celtics were undone by a cold shooting night from deep (32 percent) and struggled to match Chicago’s balance across four quarters.
The night also carried added significance in Chicago, with Derrick Rose honoured as the Bulls retired his jersey, setting an emotional backdrop as Chicago continued its surge up the standings.
