Big West Championship First Round
Sophomore guard Hannah Wickstrom recorded 26 points and nine rebounds in 38 minutes as UC Riverside defeated UC Santa Barbara 58–53 in the Big West Championship First Round on March 12, 2026 (AEDT). Wickstrom shot 8–16 from the field and hit two three-pointers while also adding six steals as UC Riverside advanced in a defensive contest. Sophomore forward Olivia Bradley led UC Santa Barbara with 23 points and five rebounds on 7–12 shooting and a perfect 8–8 from the free throw line. Teammate Zoe Shaw added three rebounds, one assist and two steals in 31 minutes.

Wickstrom converted 10–11 from the free throw line and carried a high offensive workload as UC Davis created separation in the second half to secure the result. Hawai‘i controlled the extra period after the teams were level at the end of regulation, converting key free throws and defensive stops to secure the 11-point win. Junior guard Jade Peacock added two points and two rebounds in eight minutes as the Rainbow Wahine advanced to the semifinal.
