Josh Green's off-season rollercoaster has continued after being traded from the Timberwolves

Australian Josh Green's rollercoaster NBA offseason has continued after he was traded for the second time in less than two months.
The three-and-d specialist, who was dealt from the Charlotte Hornets on July 10 as part of the trade which sent former NBL Next Star LaMelo Ball to the Minnesota Timberwolves, has been sent from Minnesota to the Utah Jazz in order to create room for Chris Finch's team to sign Jonathan Kuminga to a two-year, $12 million contract.
Minnesota sent Green and cash to the Jazz for Cody Williams and John Konchar.
It's a display of the ruthless and cutthroat business nature of the NBA after Green was seen as a key addition for the Timberwolves, due to his ability to space the floor and guard multiple positions which he has shown in his previous stints at Charlotte and with the Dallas Mavericks.
The Australian Boomers Olympic bronze medalist also went to France for a Timberwolves off-season trip, reportedly paid for by stars Anthony Edwards and Ball.
Minnesota had also posted several posts on social media of Green working out at the Timberwolves training facility last week.
"He's a guy who's been in this league a long time, been to the Finals and can fit and gel with many different lineups," Finch said about Green in his introductory press conference.
Green joins a Jazz side coached by Will Hardy, who are ready to make a rise up the Western Conference standings following several seasons towards the bottom. Their aspirations have been boosted after drafting former Kansas Jayhawks star Darryn Peterson with the second overall pick in this year's draft.
Peterson joins a talented young core headlined by point guard Keyonte George and also featuring former Memphis Grizzlies big man Jaren Jackson Jr.
If Green sticks with the Jazz, he joins a franchise where many Aussies have featured, including Joe Ingles as well as Dante Exum and even Patty Mills for a brief stint.
If the 25-year-old doesn't stick with Utah, he could be a valuable asset for any team with playoff aspirations for the 2026-27 season.
