The NBA's all-time leading scorer LeBron James has signed as a free agent with the Philadelphia 76ers.

After saying he seriously considered retirement, four-time NBA champion LeBron James has signed a two-year, USD $8 million deal with the Philadelphia 76ers for what he says will be the final chapter of his career. The 41-year-old will chase a fifth NBA title and attempt to end Philadelphia's 43-year championship drought in a record-breaking 24th NBA season.

Earlier this month, the Atlanta Hawks double down on defence, acquiring All-Defensive guard Lu Dort to join Australians Dyson Daniels and Jock Landale in a three-team trade.

With Daniels already one of the NBA's premier perimeter defenders, Atlanta now boasts one of the league's toughest defensive backcourts.

The Hawks aren't the only team reshaping around Australians.
