It's the first episode of Not Another Interview with Olympian and two-time WNBL champion Sara Blicavs and we couldn't have a bigger guest for the debut show with 'The GOAT' Andrew Gaze joining us.
Not Another Interview is a new show from basketball.com.au, where Blicavs will sit down with some of the great characters of Australian basketball to talk about more than what happens on the court.
On Episode 1, Gaze joined Blicavs ahead of the Australian basketball icon's 60th birthday, which he celebrated on July 24.
The pair talk about everything from Gaze's upbringing, how he met his wife Melinda and who his favourite child is. But we also get an insight into his special bond with former teammate and NBL legend Lanard Copeland, just how much the game of basketball has meant to him and also being known worldwide as one of the best scorers in Olympic basketball history.
Gaze is a five-time Olympian, was the flag bearer at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games and is touted as the greatest player in NBL history, having won seven NBL MVP awards, two championships with his beloved Melbourne Tigers and also boasting a career average of more than 30 points per game.
