The duo, who played together on Queensland state junior teams, are on other ends of the sporting spectrum with Siulepa choosing to pass up big-time offers in rugby league and rugby union to chase his basketball dreams and commit to Pitt to play NCAA Division 1 college basketball, while Cotton chose to return to Aussie rules despite a promising career ahead on the court.
Although they've chosen different paths for their careers, both Siulepa and Cotton have been fortunate enough to have Cadee as a mentor through the early parts of their careers to help them navigate through the tough decisions they have made this year.
In this episode, Siulepa and Cotton take us inside what went into their decisions, how they are fitting in to their new environments and what their future goals in their respective sports are.
Cadee and Basketball.com.au website editor Brayden Heslehurst also speak about the opening week of the NBL and preview the upcoming round, including a new segment in JC5's Points from the competition.
