Jacob Richards delivered 30 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists as Hobart Chargers surged late to defeat Nunawading Spectres 87–85 in a tight NBL1 South Men opener on March 27.

Hobart closed strongly in the fourth quarter, outscoring Nunawading 33–30 to overturn a halftime deficit and secure the two-point win at home.

Austin Shelley and Daniel Trist led a balanced Frankston Blues attack as they defeated Northern Force 103–89 in their NBL1 South Men opener on March 27.

Frankston controlled the tempo across all four quarters, maintaining a consistent scoring output to pull away late and secure a 14-point road win.
