Jock Landale stars once again for Memphis while Josh Giddey remains out with injury

It was back to the bench for Aussie big man Jock Landale as the NBA made its annual tour to London but it didn't matter as the Boomers star produced one of his most efficient games of the season to spark a Memphis Grizzlies domination of the Orlando Magic.

Landale, who had ben starting in recent games with the Grizzlies missing Zach Edey, came off the bench but played 23 minutes and exploaded for 21 points off just 11 shots as Memphis beat the Magic 126-109 and returned to the winner's list.

He also had a highlight alley-oop dunk, which drew an incredible reaction from his Memphis teammates.

The 30-year-old is in the middle of a career year in his first season with the Grizzlies and his fifth NBA campaign.

A former Melbourne United NBL star, Landale has put himself alongside some of the best Aussies to play in the NBA, including Andrew Bogut, the 1997-98 season from Luc Longley and season 2019-20 for Aron Baynes with the Phoenix Suns.

The St Mary's Gaels alumni led the Aussies in action with Josh Giddey still sidelined with a hamstring injury and Josh Green playing limited minutes for the Charlotte Hornets.

An efficient Jock Landale was almost the story of the night as the Memphis Grizzlies dismantled the Orlando Magic in the NBA's annual London game.

Memphis were too good from the opening tip with a 40-23 opening quarter and the Magic had no chance from there.

Landale came off the bench and had 21 points in 23 minutes, shooting 9-from-11 from the field and 1-from-2 from distance to go with eight rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal.

Again, the Boomers big man was the best of the Aussies in action.

Star point guard Josh Giddey remains sidelined with a hamstring injury but the Chicago Bulls were able to record a 124-102 win over the Brooklyn Nets at United Center. Giddey is back training and could returnlater this week against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Lachlan Olbrich played three minutes for the Bulls and recorded one assist and one rebound.

NBA BOX SCORE: Denver Nuggets vs Charlotte Hornets

Aussie wing Josh Green has played 13 minutes as the Charlotte Hornets easily took care of the undermanned Denver Nuggets 110-87 at Ball Arena.

Green hit 1-from-2 from the three-point line and was a +5 in his minutes with the rising Hornets continuing to show signs they are on the improve.

NBA BOX SCORE: Sacramento Kings vs Portland Trail Blazers

Aussie big man Duop Reath had a night to forget despite the Portland Trail Blazers beating the Sacramento Kings 117-110 at the Golden 1 Center.

Reath played 12 minutes and failed to score, going 0-from-2 from distance, only recording a single assist and rebound while going -11 in his playing time.

NBA G LEAGUE UPDATE

Long Island Nets def Iowa Wolves 124-115

Rookie Aussie big man Rocco Zikarsky had another impressive outing for the Iowa Wolves despite their nine-point loss to the Long Island Nets.

Zikarsky had 19 points in 26minutes, shooting 8-from-13 from the field and 1-from-4 from distance, The former Brisbane Bullets Next Star also had eight rebounds and four blocks.

Cleveland Charge def Grand Rapids Gold 132-126

Luke Travers continued his improved second season with the Cleveland Charge, dropping a double-double of 15 points and11 rebounds off the bench to help his team to a six-point win over Grand Rapids.

Travers played 29 minutes and went 5-from-11 from the field. He also had five assists, two blocks and one steal.
