Johnny Furphy of the Indiana Pacers has been upgraded to "questionable" on the official NBA injury report and may return to NBA action on Saturday (Australian time) against Dyson Daniels' Atlanta Hawks.
Furphy, who missed a large portion of the preseason with an ankle injury, has missed three straight games with a sore left foot.
It comes after the 20-year-old played just one minute in the Pacers' season-opening loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder in double overtime on October 24. Furphy had to wait 57 minutes to hit the court and didn't record a stat against last year's NBA Finals opponents.
The Pacers line-up remains injury riddled. Already without star guard Tyrese Haliburton for the season, TJ McConnell will be out until approximately mid-November with a hamstring injury, Bennedict Mathurin is listed week-to-week and key big man is Obi Toppin also out until December.
The Pacers recently signed social media sensation and All-Star Slam Dunk winner Mac McClung to a guaranteed contract to cover for the injuries, as he debuted against Dallas, scoring 7 points in 13 minutes as the Pacers lost by two points to the Mavericks.
The Pacers, who made the NBA Finals last year, are yet to win a game this season, with a record of 0-4.
