Bigger stage, brighter lights but no problems for Aussie guard Max Mackinnon who put on a shooting clinic from beyond the arc for the LSU Tigers in their season opener against Tarleton State.
It comes after Mackinnon spoke exclusively to basketball.com.au's Brayden Heslehurst about how Boomers and Cairns Taipans sharpshooter Jack McVeigh has helped him with shooting in recent times.
Mackinnon was just one of many Aussies in action NCAA Division 1 men's basketball today. It comes after Aussie big man Alex Condon featured on day one and Oscar Cluff made his Purde debut on day two.

NCAA Box Score: LSU Tigers vs Tarleton State
Max Mackinnon showed why he was so coveted by SEC powerhouse, LSU, in the offseason after scoring 19 points as the Tigers beat Tarleton State 97-60.
The son of NBL legend Sam Mackinnon went 4-from-5 from the three-point line in the convincing victory.
He also had five assists and three rebounds.
Mackinnon's debut at LSU comes after a season at the Portland Pilots which followed two years at ELON.
The 22-year-old recently said being on the big stage of the SEC was part of his move to Baton Rouge.
"Also being on the big stage of the SEC was big for me for sure. Playing against the likes of Auburn and Kentucky as well as Alex Condon and Florida, it's a huge opportunity to test myself, especially after playing three seasons at a mid-major school," he told basketball.com.au.
"The athleticism here is just on another level, I feel like that's the biggest jump when playing against the opposition I'll see in the SEC."
