Four teams, four medals, 491 points. Every Australian in Glasgow assessed, from 54 points to three.
Basketball Australia sent 16 players to the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow across four 3x3 teams, and all four came home with a medal: gold for the women and the wheelchair men, silver for the men, bronze for the wheelchair women.
Between them they scored 491 points in 26 games.
One number frames the whole tournament. Georgia Munro-Cook scored 48 of the wheelchair women's 88 points, which is 54.5 per cent of everything her team produced. No other Australian at these Games accounted for more than 37 per cent of their side's scoring.
Here is how each of the 16 got on to the podium in Scotland.
Women's 3x3: Gold
Australia's Marena Whittle, Amy Atwell, Lara McSpadden and Emma Clarke celebrate with their gold medals after defeating Uganda in the women's 3x3 gold medal match at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, on July 30, 2026 (AEST). Photo: James Fearn/Getty Images
Amy Atwell finished as Australia's leading scorer of the Games with 54 points, and she led the Gangurrus in scoring in four of their seven games. Her best was the semi-final, 13 points on 5-of-10 from behind the arc against Jamaica. Her quietest was the one that mattered most: two points on 1-of-5 from range in the gold medal game. It did not cost Australia anything, because by then Marena Whittle had taken over.
Marena Whittle saved her tournament for the last nine minutes of it. She had not scored more than six in any game before the final, then put up 15 of Australia's 21 against Uganda on 5-of-6 inside the arc and 5-of-8 from behind it, taking more than half her team's attempts from two. She was also the Gangurrus' most reliable rebounder through the pool round, with a game-high eight against both the Cayman Islands and Uganda.
Emma Clarke averaged seven points a game and only four Australians at the Games averaged more, which is remarkable for a player who appeared four times. Her 10 points against Fiji came in 3 minutes and 6 seconds on court, the most productive shift any Australian managed. She did not play against the Cayman Islands, and was then ruled out injured for both the semi-final and the final. That is why Australia won a gold medal with three players.
Lara McSpadden was the least noticed contributor to a gold medal – but she was invaluable. McSpadden went 7-of-8 inside the arc against the Cayman Islands and added six rebounds in the same game, then scored four on 4-of-5 in the final itself. She was never the story but never absent from the box score.

Wheelchair men: Gold
Australia's Tomas Klein, Eithen Leard, Tom O'Neill-Thorne and Luke Pople celebrate with their gold medals during the wheelchair men's 3x3 basketball medal ceremony at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, on July 30, 2026 (AEST). Photo: James Fearn/Getty Images
Tom O'Neill-Thorne led the Wombats in scoring and did considerably more than score. He handed out seven assists against Kenya, four key assists in both the Wales play-in and the semi-final, and was a perfect 5-of-5 from the one-point area in that semi. His 10 points against Canada booked Australia's place in the knockout rounds. He was on court for the full 10 minutes in three of the six games.
Eithen Leard started the tournament with two points against England and finished it as the top scorer in a gold medal game, with 10 against the same opponent on 4-of-6 inside, 2-of-4 from two and 2-of-3 at the line. He also led the scoring in the Wales play-in with eight and a plus-15, the best mark on the floor.
Tomas Klein did his best work early, going 8-of-10 from the one-point area against Kenya for eight points. He was Australia's most physical presence in the knockout games, taking seven rebounds in the semi-final with three at the offensive end, and scored five there on 3-of-4 inside and 2-of-3 at the line.
Luke Pople scored the fewest points of the four and was the only one who had done this before. Klein, Leard and O'Neill-Thorne were all Commonwealth Games debutants; Pople arrived in Glasgow as the reigning Birmingham 2022 gold medallist and leaves with a second. He had four rebounds and four assists in the England opener, four more assists against Kenya, and a plus-15 against Wales.

3x3 basketball: shots inside the arc score 1 point, outside 2, and a game ends at 21 points or after 10 minutes, whichever comes first. GP games played, KAS key assists, S-EFF shooting efficiency (points per shot attempt, free throws included), DRV drives, BZR buzzer beaters, HGL highlights, P-VAL the FIBA player value rating. Class is the player’s sport classification, from 1.0 to 4.5: the four players a side has on court are capped on combined classification, so it is part of how the team is picked, not a footnote. The wheelchair box score carries no dunks column at all. Rows are in match order, which is the only order these games have, so the headers are not sortable — the column switcher above changes which stats are on screen. A did-not-play is kept and greyed rather than hidden: an absence is part of the record. Totals cover games played only, so a did-not-play is excluded rather than averaged in as a zero. Rebounds awarded to the team rather than to a player are not in these rows, so a player column can sum below the published team figure. In 3 of these games the published team turnover figure runs ahead of the sum of the player rows; that gap is in the official sheet and has been left as published rather than distributed across the players. Every figure is recomputed from the box scores and reconciled against the published team totals. Source: official FIBA 3x3 box scores, Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

Men's 3x3: Silver
Australia's Jonah Antonio, Jarred Bairstow, Sam McDaniel and Jesse Wagstaff celebrate with their silver medals during the men's 3x3 basketball medal ceremony at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, on July 30, 2026 (AEST). Photo: James Fearn/Getty Images
Jonah Antonio was Australia's shooter and he shot when it counted. He scored 12 in the gold medal game without missing a shot he was supposed to make: 3-of-3 inside, 3-of-6 from two, 3-of-3 at the line, 12 of Australia's 17 points. He also scored 12 against Nigeria on 6-of-10 from behind the arc. In a final Australia lost by two, the three shots he made from range were the only ones Australia made at all.
Sam McDaniel matched Antonio's tournament total and was the steadier of the two, scoring eight or more in four of seven games. His 12 against the Cayman Islands came in a game Australia finished in 4 minutes 46 seconds, the fastest win any Australian team recorded in Glasgow, and he added 10 in the semi-final on 6-of-8 inside the arc. The final got away from him: four points and 0-of-6 from two.
Jesse Wagstaff was the rebounder. Eight against Scotland in the pool round, six against Guyana, a block in the same game, and consistent work on the offensive glass all week. He was scoreless in the gold medal game on 0-of-1 inside and 0-of-3 from range.
Jarred Bairstow scored the fewest points of any Australian who played all seven games, and his most valuable contribution does not appear in a scoring column. He finished the semi-final against Scotland at plus-10, the best figure of any player on the floor in a game Australia won by seven. He scored four against Scotland in the pool round and four against the Cayman Islands.

Wheelchair women: Bronze
Australia's Taishar Ovens, Ebony Stevenson, Hannah Dodd and Georgia Munro-Cook celebrate with their bronze medals during the wheelchair women's 3x3 basketball medal ceremony at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, on July 30, 2026 (AEST). Photo: James Fearn/Getty Images
Georgia Munro-Cook carried a load nobody else at these Games came close to. Her 48 points were 54.5 per cent of Australia's total and she averaged eight a game, the highest figure of any Australian. She posted a double-double against South Africa with 10 points and 12 rebounds, then hit a buzzer-beater in overtime against Canada to reach the knockout rounds. Her best came last: 12 of Australia's 19 points in the bronze medal game on 12-of-17 from the one-point area, three hours after the semi-final defeat, playing every minute of both. She won silver in Birmingham four years ago and has now upgraded the colour.
Ebony Stevenson is 15 years old and was the youngest athlete across all four Australian squads. She was perfect from close range twice, going 5-of-5 against Nigeria for six points and a plus-16, then 4-of-6 in the bronze medal game for five. In the tournament opener against England she took seven rebounds and handed out four assists.
Hannah Dodd scored Australia's only made shot from behind the arc in the Nigeria play-in and led the team with three key assists in the same game. She added four points on 4-of-6 in the semi-final against Scotland. Like Munro-Cook, she was part of the Australian side beaten by Canada in the Birmingham 2022 final, which makes the win over the same opponent for bronze a closed loop.
Taishar Ovens scored three points in Glasgow, two against South Africa and one from the free-throw line against Nigeria, the smallest return of any Australian. She was on court for both the semi-final and the bronze medal game, and in a four-player wheelchair squad the fourth player's value is rarely measured in points.

One game went past regulation, which is why its minutes run beyond 10:00. In 2 of these games the published team turnover figure runs ahead of the sum of the player rows; that gap is in the official sheet and has been left as published rather than distributed across the players. Every figure is recomputed from the box scores and reconciled against the published team totals. Source: official FIBA 3x3 box scores, Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
