NBL27 Free Agency: Every club's confirmed squad
The champions have closed their roster, so here is where all 10 NBL27 squads actually stand now.

The NBL27 Blitz is done, and the off-season it closes has been the most restless in years. Twenty-four players changed NBL clubs, and Melbourne United spent harder than anyone.
Joe Ingles has come home from Minnesota, Cole Anthony from the NBA and Luke Travers from the G League, three arrivals United are paying $292,900 or more for. They also took Sam Waardenburg from Cairns for $277,500, the biggest move between two NBL clubs all off-season, and import Josh Oduro.
Tasmania went to the EuroLeague for Taran Armstrong, back from Dubai Basketball on $304,700. Cairns brought Keanu Pinder home from Japan on $300,000.
The Sydney Kings tell the opposite story. The champions lost five players to rival NBL clubs, Bul Kuol to Adelaide, Kouat Noi to New Zealand, Jaylin Galloway and Shaun Bruce to Cairns and Hunter Goodrick to South East Melbourne, and signed nobody at all from inside the league. Every Kings arrival came from American college or the G League: Andrew Carr, Harry Wessels, Jayden Stone and Will Johnston.
Cairns went the other way entirely, taking seven players from rival clubs and betting on depth while Perth Wildcats signed former NBA point guard Brandon Knight.

Brandon Knight – Point Guard
American
September 14: Perth Wildcats sign former NBA point guard Brandon Knight. The 34-year-old American played 451 NBA games between 2011 and 2022, averaging 14 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.9 assists for Detroit, Milwaukee, Phoenix, Houston, Cleveland and Dallas.
Malique Lewis – Forward
Australia: South East Melbourne Phoenix
August 25: Cairns sign Lewis as an import on a two-year deal with a club option on the second year, completing their roster. The 21-year-old was the 60th pick in the 2026 NBA Draft by Milwaukee after two seasons as a Next Star with the Phoenix, where he averaged 6.9 points and 4.3 rebounds in NBL26. Confirmed by the club.
Will Johnston – Guard
United States: NCAA, Richmond
August 25: Sydney sign Johnston on a one-year deal, filling the eleventh and last contracted spot. The 25-year-old played the 2026 NBA Summer League with the New York Knicks and averaged 28 points a game in NBL1 East for Hornsby Ku-ring-Gai. Confirmed by the club.
