Four-time NBA champion and Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green has laughed off an altercation between teammate Quinten Post and Minnesota Timberwolves veteran Joe Ingles, saying "that's the Australian way".
Ingles was heard saying to Post during a free throw "I'll slap the sh*t out of you" after the two clashed late in Golden State's win over the Timberwolves last week.
It's a flashback to prime Ingles, who was known for being an antagoniser with the likes of former Oklahoma City Thunder star Paul George.
"Funny moment in the game, speaking of Joe Ingles, Joe Ingles telling QPR, I'll slap the sh*t out of you, old man Joe," Green said on The Draymond Green Show.
"You know, the young guys, they only know old Joe. They don't know Joe that first came into the league 12, 13 years ago. Young Joe was actually into stuff all the time, man. Young Joe would mix it up with you.
"That's the Australian way, though. Like, one thing an Aussie gonna do, they gonna mix it up with you. Like, that is just who they are as a people.
"They got that tenacity. They play with that tenacity. It's funny to see Joe get out there and get into it with QP. Pat Spencer's tap on the chest, like, hey, man, chill out. Come on, man, come out, man hilarious moment."
Praising Australians has become a bit of a thing for Green on his show recently after crediting Boomers legendary big man Andrew Bogut for helping him become the player he is and being a critical part of the Warriors dynasty.
