The 2025 Under 14 Club Championships, co-hosted by Basketball Australia and Willetton Basketball Association, will bring the nation’s best junior clubs to Perth from Sunday 28 September to Friday 3 October.
Featuring 48 teams, 24 boys and 24 girls, the tournament is the pinnacle of under 14s competition, with each state nominating their annual quota of teams. For many, it is the first chance to compete on the national stage in front of scouts and fans.
The event tips off on Saturday 27 September with media and training day, followed by the official opening ceremony. Pool games run from Sunday through Tuesday, before quarter finals and classifications on Wednesday 1 October, semi finals on Thursday 2 October, and the grand finals on Friday 3 October. A closing ceremony will follow that evening.
The Girls Championship pools include some of the country’s most recognised programs. Pool A features Dandenong, Norwood, Canberra and hosts Willetton. Pool B is highlighted by Melbourne, Logan, Perry Lakes and Northern Tigers, while Pool C sees Pakenham, Illawarra, North Gold Coast and Lakeside go head-to-head.
Elsewhere, Kilsyth, Cockburn, Manly Warringah and West Adelaide fill Pool D, with Forestville, Bulleen, Penrith and Darwin Cyclones in Pool E. Eltham, Bankstown, Northwest Devils and Ipswich round out Pool F.
The action begins on Sunday morning with Eltham facing Ipswich in Pool F, and Melbourne clashing with Northern Tigers in Pool B. Other early blockbusters include Dandenong against Norwood, and West Adelaide taking on Cockburn.
From there, three full days of pool play will determine which clubs progress to the Championship Division and who will compete for the Shield. Quarter finals get underway on Wednesday afternoon, leading to semi finals Thursday and the Championship and Shield deciders on Friday.
The 2025 Under 14 Club Championships promise six days of basketball showcasing the next wave of Australian talent.
