Josh Giddey wins all-Aussie duel with Dyson Daniels as Cavaliers rookies get limited minutes.

"6:53: Josh Giddey blocks Dyson Daniels's driving layup" ... there's every chance this play-by-play moment will end up in a text message between the two USD $100M Australian mates after the Chicago Bulls held of the Atlanta Hawks 128-123 in Chicago on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 (AEDT).

It was only a precursor to what would come as Giddey hit a clutch three down the stretch and then went right at Daniels with 13 seconds left, the Bulls up 126-123, but he missed an eight-foot floater but jumped over the top of Daniels for the offensive rebound. The Hawks had to foul and Chicago's Tre Jones hit a pair of free throws to seal it.

Giddey had a double-double 13-points and 10 rebounds with 7:41 left in the third quarter and finished with 18 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, a steal and a block in 33 minutes.

While Daniels finished with two points, seven rebounds, two assists and three steals in 34 minutes as he still finds his way in the retooled Hawks roster.

Not only were Daniels and Giddey on the same floor together for the first time in 2025-26, they match-up on each other with Daniels defending point guard Giddey in the full court throughout the second half.
