SuperCoach NBA debuts with Classic and Draft formats, live scoring, trades and cash prizes for fans.

basketball.com.au has launched a Public League for the first season of SuperCoach NBA starting TODAY!!

Create your team and join the league – to sledge me ... My team is called Sydney Comets.

The salary cap is $154,647,000 for a squad of 14 players by position – the goal to score as many fantasy points as possible based on your individual players' performances during a 7-day period.

The first player I've selected is Luka Dončić ($19,430,000). I have no doubt the Los Angeles Lakers superstar will be back in the All-NBA First Team in 2025-26 and will be pushing for MVP after his stunning departure from the Dallas Mavericks. He has slimmed down and was simply outstanding for Slovenia in EuroBasket.

There is no better player to put the (C) on than a superstar with something to prove.

The tough decision to make is at the Centre position between Nikola Jokic ($28,070,000) and Giannis Antetokounmpo ($23,390,000). The $5M price difference is significant in choosing the next level of starter but Jokic is a walking near-triple double averaging 45.2 points last season while Antetokounmpo averaged 36.7. But Antetokounmpo was flat-out dominant for Greece during EuroBasket.

National Basketball Association No1 draft pick Cooper Flagg is the most owned player in SuperCoach NBA with an overwhelming 67% of coaches going with the Duke Blue Devils blue-chipper, especially after a preseason that showed he more than belongs at the next level.

Both Anthony Davis ($21,070,000) and Victor Wembanyama ($21,860,00) are injury risks but if they can both string together a solid stretch of games both their prices will go up as the season progresses.

Jayson Tatum ($18,350,000) and Tyrese Haliburton ($16,180,000) are both out for the season. Expect an injury icon to appear next to their names before the start of the season, so rule them out now.

With all the attention on Kawhi Leonard ($14,700,00) at the moment, expect him to play more games in 2025-26 to deflect the salary cap scandal engulfing he and the Los Angeles Clippers. There's no better way to quiet the noise but putting the ball in the bucket.

Josh Giddey ($14,720,000) is my line-up. He has $100M reasons to prove he's an All-Star. He'll more than likely to come in at the expense of Ja Morant.

The Sydney Comets for Round 1 of SuperCoach NBA

How many minutes and what role Kevin Durant ($17,640,000) will play early in the Houston Rockets season is a "watch this space" but he is a walking bucket, who averaged 28.4 fantasy points last season. Devin Booker ($15,550,000) needs serious consideration given Durant is in Texas and he'll be back as the primary option in the Suns offense. He averaged 25 points last season.
