Despite the loss, Forestville had three players score in double figures with Jess Simons leading the way with 13 points and 9 rebounds. The Eagles struggled from the free-throw line, converting just 8-from-19 attempts (42.1 percent), which proved costly in the one-point defeat. Ella Sawyer was a defensive catalyst for Forestville with 5 steals, but Sturt's balanced scoring and timely defense secured the win. The Sabres capitalised on their opportunities at the charity stripe, hitting 13-from-18 free throws (72.2 percent) to maintain their edge in a tightly contested affair.
