Matisse Thybulle shines in limited minutes as Aussies endure mixed NBA results on October 27.

Australian Olympic Games bronze medallist Matisse Thybulle was +9 in 15 minutes off the bench for the under siege Trail Blazers despite Portland losing 114-107 on the road to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Thybulle had three steals, five points but four fouls off the bench. Trail Blazers' Australian centre Duop Reath was a DNP-coach's decision.

Veteran Joe Ingles snagged less than a minute as the Minnesota Timberwolves kept the 2025 NBA Finalist Indiana Pacers winless in three games to start the season.

Ingles, 38, didn't trouble the statisticians but was +2 in his time on the floor.

Sophomore Pacers forward Johnny Furphy was out injured denying the first Australian vs Australian match-up of the season. Rookie Rocco Zikarsky wasn't on the T'Wolves roster.

Rookie Tyrese Proctor and second-year Luke Travers were both DNP-coach's decision in the Cleveland Cavaliers 118-113 win against the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Dallas Mavericks secured their first win of the season, beating the Toronto Raptors 139-129 at home. Australian Boomers wing Dante Exum is still out injured.

2025 NBA No1 Draft Pick Cooper Flagg had his break-out game, dropping 22 points on 8-from-14 from the field, adding four rebounds, four assists and a block in 29 minutes.

The Charlotte Hornets blew-out the Washington Wizards 139-113. Australian guard Josh Green is injured. He has no timetable for return to the Charlotte Hornets line-up.

Former NBL Next Star Alex Sarr scored 21 points in 25 minutes for the Wizards. He shot a blistering 9-from-15 from the field, had four rebounds, five assists and three blocks.
