Steph Curry was Steph Curry, and Aussie big man Duop Reath had a front-row seat to witness a vintage performance from the greatest shooter of all-time.
While Reath may have received a DNP Coach's Decision in the game, his Portland Trail Blazers fought-off the Warriors to record a big home win, overcoming 48 points and 12 three-pointers from Curry.
Curry went 16-from-29 from the field and 12-from-17 from beyond the arc in an incredible performance despite the loss.
Reath's DNP is the latest in an inconsistent season for the Boomers stretch big man, who has taken opportunities with both hands when he's earned extra minutes but hasn't had the consistent playing time to make a bigger impact with the Trail Blazers.
While Reath's night was quiet, it was a loud one for other Aussies in the NBA, including Dyson Daniels who went within a whisker of his career-high.
NBA BOX SCORE: Cleveland Cavaliers vs Charlotte Hornets
Aussie wing Josh Green continues to shine in his return to the NBA, making an impact as the Charlotte Hornets beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 119-111 at Rocket Arena.
In his second game back following off-season shoulder injury, Green had eight points and went 2-from-5 from the three-point line, along with two rebounds in 15 minutes as the Hornets beat one of the Eastern Conference title contenders.
Green was also a +8 in his minutes.
Tyrese Proctor played seven late minutes for the Cavaliers and had two assists.
NBA BOX SCORE: Atlanta Hawks vs Philadelphia 76ers
It was the Dyson Daniels and Jalen Johnson show as Atlanta Hawks took down the Philadelphia 76ers 120-117 at State Farm Arena.
Daniels led the way in scoring with a season-high 27 points while Johnson had 12 assists as the Hawks recorded their 15th win of the season.
The Bendigo product was dominant against a star-studded Philadelphia side, going 13-from-19 from the field and 1-from-2 from the three-point line, while also grabbing 10 rebounds and dishing out four assists in the three-point victory.
Daniels' performance was the 11th straight game he has scored in double figures.
NBA BOX SCORE: Minnesota Timberwolves vs Sacramento Kings
Aussie veteran Joe Ingles was a DNP Coach's Decision as the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Sacramento Kings 117-103 at the Target Center.
NBA BOX SCORE: Chicago Bulls vs New Orleans Pelicans
The Chicago Bulls and Josh Giddey need help, and urgently, after falling to the lowly New Orleans Pelicans 114-104 at the United Center.
Giddey, who has been in career-best form for the Bulls this season, had just 11 points, seven rebounds and give assists in the loss but with so much attention directed to the Boomers star, no teammates stepped up.
Chicago have won just two of their last 10 games, an incredible fall since a 5-0 start to the season, with the Bulls now sitting 11th in the Eastern Conference with a 10-15 record.
NBA BOX SCORE: Portland Trail Blazers vs Golden State Warriors
Portland edged Golden State in a high-scoring contest at Moda Center, defeating the Warriors 136–131 despite Duop Reath being a DNP as a coach’s decision.
Stephen Curry was sensational in defeat, pouring in 48 points and knocking down 12 three-pointers in one of the finest shooting performances of his career. It marked the fifth time Curry has made at least 12 threes in a game, extending his own NBA record, with former teammate Klay Thompson next on the all-time list with three such performances.
Portland’s firepower came from Jerami Grant and Shaedon Sharpe, who each finished with 35 points.
