Dyson Daniels was back to his all-round best as the Australian Boomers backcourt star fell just short of a triple-double in a thrilling double overtime win for the Atlanta Hawks over the Philadelphia 76ers.
Daniels was just one rebound and two assists away from the feat as the Hawks won their second consecutive game and moved up to fifth in the NBA's Eastern Conference.
Triple-doubles are almost becoming the norm for Aussies in the US with fellow Boomers backcourt member, Josh Giddey, a triple-double machine and Bulls two-way forward Lachlan Olbrich recording a mega triple-double in the G League for the Windy City Bulls.
Daniels' performance against the 76ers continued Atlanta's impressive form since All-Star point guard Trae Young has been sidelined with injury. The Hawks have won seven of their last 10 to put themselves firmly in the early race for home court advantage in the playoffs.
