Reigning WNBL MVP Isobel Borlase today signed a rookie scale contract with the Atlanta Dream for the 2026 WNBA season along with Maddi Rocci with Sandy Brondello's Toronto Tempo and Townsville Fire WNBL26 champion Miela Sowah with the Golden State Valkyries signing rookie scale training camp contracts.
Australian Opals centre Alanna Smith signed a super-max USD $1.4 per season deal with the Dallas Wings yesterday and Opals teammate Ezi Magbegor accepted the super-max with Seattle Storm today. Magbegor will be re-united with Opals teammate Jade Melbourne, who is returning to the Storm after two seasons with the Washington Mystics.
The WNBL's leading rebounder Anneli Maley earned a training camp contract with the New York Liberty just days after scoring an NBL1 record 65 points for the Perth Redbacks.
