The National Basketball League (NBL) has confirmed a new three-year partnership with CODE Sports, which will serve as the league’s official media partner and naming rights sponsor of the NBL’s pre-season Blitz tournament.
The agreement will see the tournament rebranded as the CODE Sports NBL Blitz, beginning this week in Canberra. All ten NBL clubs will participate in the event as they prepare for the 2025–26 NBL season.

Tim Morrissey, Commercial Partnerships Editor at CODE Sports, said the partnership is focused on strengthening basketball coverage across Australia.
“CODE Sports is entering a three-year deal with the NBL as naming rights partner of the CODE Sports NBL Blitz pre-season tournament,” Morrissey said.
“We are committed to providing coverage of the NBL and Australian basketball through breaking news, analysis and features.”
NBL Chief Executive Officer David Stevenson said the partnership comes at a key point for the league.
“The CODE Sports Blitz is a great way to celebrate our new three-year partnership,” Stevenson said.
“CODE Sports’ coverage and commitment to storytelling has played a role in helping us grow into the fastest rising league in Australia and New Zealand. We look forward to continuing to work together to tell our stories to a wider audience.”
The 2025 CODE Sports NBL Blitz will be played alongside the Mitsubishi Motors NBL1 National Finals, which begins on Friday.
