Suzy Batkovic scored 5,840 points in the WNBL. Rachael Sporn scored 5,823. Seventeen points separate the two highest scorers the competition has had, and both of them are in the table below, alongside every other player who has taken the floor since 1981.
basketball.com.au's Every WNBL Player Ever database holds 1,446 players and 5,393 player-seasons, searchable by name or by club. Tap a name and you get that player's career, season by season. The player-season figure sets aside nine one-game entries from 1997 that we have flagged rather than counted.
Kelly Wilson is the only player in it who leads more than one career category, and she leads three: 478 games, 1,649 assists and more minutes on court than anyone in WNBL history.

Batkovic's six MVP awards are a record, which is why the award has carried her name since 2019 as the Suzy Batkovic Medal. Lauren Jackson won it four times, Kathy Foster three.
Julie Nykiel was there from the first day. She led the league in scoring in its opening season and four more times after that, for the Noarlunga Tigers, and nobody has matched five since. That opening season began on June 19, 1981, in Adelaide, between the AIS and West Adelaide.
Forty-six seasons have followed in 45 years, which is not a typo. The competition moved off the calendar year in 1998, so there is a winter 1998 season and a summer 1998-99 season, each with its own champion.
Penny Taylor put up the highest average any leading scorer has managed, 28.5 points a game in 2001-02. In 2025-26 Isobel Borlase did both jobs at once for the Bendigo Spirit, top scorer at 22.8 a game and MVP.
Some careers took real work to assemble. Erin Phillips's six seasons at Adelaide, her three All-WNBL Teams and the 2008 championship were rebuilt from the sources while we checked the database against 233 independent claims. They are all in there now.
Thirty-seven club names run through the database, across the eight franchises still playing today – Tasmania Jewels are not in the archive (yet).
