The National Basketball League (NBL) is the premier men's professional basketball competition in Australia and New Zealand, founded in 1979, and this database holds the complete statistical history of every NBL player.
Andrew Gaze headlines almost every record, from his league-high 18,908 career points and seven of the ten best single-season scoring averages to a record 101 games of 40 or more points. Leroy Loggins, James Crawford, Lanard Copeland, Tony Ronaldson and Mark Bradtke round out the all-time scoring leaders, while Ronaldson's 665 games top the appearance list ahead of Gaze, Loggins and Glen Saville.
Modern stars including Bryce Cotton, Chris Goulding, Jack McVeigh, Mitch Creek and Dejan Vasiljevic feature throughout.

The single-game scoring records run from Al Green's 71 points in 1984 to Bryce Cotton's modern-era best of 59, with Reg Biddings, Shane Heal and Wayne McDaniel close behind. Dean Uthoff and Kendal Pinder dominate the rebounding records, Derek Rucker holds the single-game assists mark, Phil Smyth leads for steals, John Dorge for blocks, and Daren Rowe recorded the league's only quadruple-double.
About the List Manager
Peter Brown is the head coach of the Sydney Comets Women’s Youth League team in the Waratah Basketball League in NSW. He is also the assistant coach for the Comets NBL1 women’s team in the NBL East Conference. Peter is a 30-year journalist, starting as a sports reporter at the NT News in the early 1990s. He played junior basketball for the Northern Territory at national championships from U16 to U20 and for the Territory’s senior men’s team at numerous international tournaments. Peter has been a basketball fan since the early 80s, especially the NBA. Basketball is his passion — and his opinions his own.
