Forestville 82 def Southern Tigers 58 — Watch the Replay

Samantha Simons delivered a dominant double-double performance with 28 points and 10 rebounds as Forestville crushed Southern Tigers 82-58 at State Basketball Centre (Wayville). Simons was exceptional from the field, shooting 45.5 percent including 3-from-10 from beyond the arc, while teammate Rachael King added 15 points on outstanding 77.8 percent shooting. Annelise Bartsch led the Tigers with 19 points but couldn't prevent her team's downfall.

The Eagles controlled the contest from start to finish, leading for over 39 minutes and building a commanding 24-point advantage at one stage. Forestville's defense was suffocating, forcing 22 turnovers and converting them into 16 points. The Tigers struggled mightily from the field, shooting a dismal 33.3 percent overall and just 23.1 percent from three-point range. Despite Iva Belosevic recording a double-double (14 points, 11 rebounds) for Southern Tigers, the Eagles' balanced attack and stifling defense proved too much to overcome.

Olivia Levicki powered West Adelaide to a commanding 94-61 victory against Central Districts at Port Adelaide Recreation Centre with a stellar 26-point, 12-rebound double-double. Levicki was a force throughout, going 7-from-15 from the field and an impressive 12-from-14 from the free-throw line. West Adelaide dominated the paint, outscoring Central Districts 46-28 inside while shooting a solid 46.5 percent from the field. The Bearcats' suffocating defense recorded nine blocks and 11 steals, forcing 21 turnovers from their opponents. Despite Sydneysimone Wright's 21 points and Tiahna Sears' double-double (17 points, 11 rebounds) for Central Districts, they couldn't overcome their poor shooting (33.8 percent from the field, 20 percent from three). West Adelaide pulled away after a competitive opening quarter, eventually building their lead to 34 points and securing their convincing win.
