SW Metro vs Northside
SW Metro (101) defeated Northside (93) at Hibiscus Sports Stadium. Brendan Teys delivered an exceptional performance with 41 points on outstanding 13-from-19 shooting from the field, including 4-from-6 from deep and 11-from-13 from the free throw line. The Pirates also received a double-double from Lachlan Anderson, who contributed 19 points and 12 rebounds.
This back-and-forth contest featured 26 lead changes and 11 ties, showcasing the competitive nature of the matchup. Dragan Stajic orchestrated the Pirates' offense masterfully with 15 assists. For Northside, Durrell Mcdonald and Ben Adamson each scored 21 points in the losing effort, with Adamson adding eight rebounds and four steals.
Logan vs Cairns
Cairns (89) defeated Logan (85) at Bendigo Bank Cornubia Park Sports Centre. Alexander Higgins-Titsha dominated with 29 points and 13 rebounds, recording an impressive double-double while shooting an efficient 11-from-20 from the field. Kody Stattmann added 17 points and a game-high six steals in a stellar defensive showing for the victorious Marlins.
Logan's Zac Triplett kept his team in contention with an outstanding 34-point performance that included 9-from-10 shooting from the free throw line. The game remained tight throughout with 13 lead changes, but Cairns prevailed thanks to their balanced effort and 14 steals as a team, turning defense into offense effectively.
Townsville vs Mackay
Mackay (102) edged out Townsville (100) at Mackay Basketball Stadium. Makuach Maluach led the Meteors with 28 points, including a stellar 5-from-8 from three-point range. Cameron Goldfinch added 21 points on 8-from-11 shooting, grabbing eight rebounds in an efficient performance.
Kuany Kuany recorded a dominant double-double for Townsville with 22 points and 15 rebounds, while Grant Teichmann contributed 17 points. Despite Townsville's strong rebounding advantage (56-46), Mackay's superior three-point shooting (11-from-29) proved decisive in this thrilling contest that saw eight lead changes.
Southern Districts vs Brisbane
Brisbane (89) defeated Southern Districts (83) at Rowland Cowan Stadium. Samuel McDaniel starred for the Capitals with 22 points, including 9-from-12 from the free throw line, while also recording a game-high six steals. Matthew Johns and Uche Dibiamaka each added 15 points in a balanced scoring effort.
Kyle Adnam led Southern Districts with 21 points and four assists, while Tamuri Wigness contributed 17 points. Brisbane dominated in the paint, outscoring their opponents 58-42 in that area. The Capitals led for more than 34 minutes of the contest, showing control throughout despite 14 lead changes.
Sunshine Coast vs Ipswich
Ipswich (76) narrowly defeated Sunshine Coast (73) at JBS Stadium. Lamar Patterson led the Force with 17 points and six assists, while Ngor Nai recorded a double-double with 13 points and 15 rebounds. Merrick Small added 11 points and nine rebounds off the bench in a strong supporting role.
Earnest Ross topped the scoring for Sunshine Coast with 23 points, including a perfect 10-from-10 from the free throw line. Erik Kafritsas recorded a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds in a stellar performance. The tight contest saw seven lead changes, with Ipswich ultimately securing the win despite being outscored from the free throw line 18-11.
