Iva the Tiger: Belosevic's 32, 10 dominates Mavs

North Adelaide 76 def Central Districts 61 — Watch the Replay
Mollie McKendrick delivered a stellar 20-point performance as North Adelaide secured a comfortable 76-61 win against Central Districts at STARplex. McKendrick was outstanding from the field, shooting 7-from-17 and a perfect 6-from-6 from the free-throw line, while Jordyn Freer added 18 points and seven rebounds.
North Adelaide's balanced attack featured four players in double figures, with Ella Batish contributing 15 points on an efficient 60 percent shooting. The Rockets dominated inside, scoring 38 points in the paint while showcasing their three-point shooting with 8-from-24 from beyond the arc. Central Districts struggled offensively, shooting just 35.4 percent from the field and a dismal 16.7 percent from three-point range despite Tiahna Sears' impressive double-double of 16 points and 14 rebounds.
Southern Tigers 81 def Mavericks 77 — Watch the Replay
Iva Belosevic dominated with 32 points and 10 rebounds as Southern Tigers edged out the Mavericks 81-77 at Morphett Vale Basketball Stadium. Belosevic was on fire, shooting 11-from-19 from the field, including 4-from-7 from three-point range and a perfect 6-from-6 from the charity stripe.
The Tigers had strong contributions from Annelise Bartsch (17 points) and McKenzie Johnston (14 points), while controlling the boards with a 41-33 rebounding advantage. Daisy Hocking led the Mavericks with 19 points on an efficient 8-from-14 shooting, and Aspen Williston added 14 points off the bench. Despite the Mavericks' superior free-throw shooting (84 percent), Southern Tigers maintained the lead for over 36 minutes of the game, building an advantage as large as 14 points to secure their victory.
Sturt 91 def South Adelaide 56 — Watch the Replay
Nicola Mathews led a balanced offensive attack with 18 points as Sturt demolished South Adelaide 91-56 at Springbank Secondary College. Mathews shot a blistering 7-from-13 from the field, including 4-from-6 from three-point range, while Tayla Brazel and Katia Stamatelopoulos added 13 and 12 points respectively.
Sturt's offense was virtually unstoppable, shooting 50 percent from the field and an outstanding 50 percent from beyond the arc, connecting on 17-from-34 attempts. South Adelaide struggled mightily, shooting a dismal 23.9 percent from the field and just 12.5 percent from three-point range. Isabella Stratford's 13 points and Hatti Cox's 10 weren't nearly enough as Sturt dominated from start to finish, leading by as many as 37 points and outscoring South Adelaide 36-20 in the paint.
West Adelaide 96 def Norwood 86 — Watch the Replay
Olivia Levicki posted a dominant double-double with 25 points and 15 rebounds as West Adelaide outlasted Norwood 96-86 at Port Adelaide Recreation Centre. Levicki was exceptional, shooting 9-from-15 from the field and 7-from-9 from the free-throw line while controlling the glass with 12 defensive rebounds.
In a high-scoring, back-and-forth affair that featured 26 lead changes and six ties, West Adelaide's balanced attack proved too much for Norwood. Coco Hodges and Molly Coleman added 14 points each, while Ashlee Strawbridge contributed 13 points including a perfect 3-from-3 from three-point range. Norwood's Amanda Paschal scored a game-high 26 points on 10-from-16 shooting, and Ke'Shunan James added 22 points and nine rebounds, but West Adelaide's superior shooting (49.3 percent to 42.5 percent) and rebounding (43-36) proved decisive.
Forestville 65 def Woodville 60 — Watch the Replay
Samantha Simons led the way with 18 points and nine rebounds as Forestville secured a hard-fought 65-60 victory against Woodville at St Clair Recreation Centre. Jess Simons added 15 points, including four three-pointers, while Ella Sawyer contributed 12 points, nine rebounds, and six assists in a well-rounded performance.
Despite shooting just 30.4 percent from the field, Forestville's defence forced 29 Woodville turnovers, converting them into 12 points. Laura Erikstrup had a stellar performance for Woodville with 21 points and nine rebounds on 9-from-17 shooting, while Jasmin Fejo added 15 points. However, Woodville's inability to protect the ball proved costly, as Forestville's 17 steals, including five from Rachael King, helped them maintain the edge in a defensive battle where neither team shot better than 35 percent from the field.
