Minnesota Timberwolves 114 def. San Antonio Spurs 109 (Series tied 2-2)
Joe Ingles was a DNP-Coach's Decision as the Minnesota Timberwolves rallied late behind a dominant fourth quarter from Anthony Edwards to beat the San Antonio Spurs 114–109 in Game 4 of their Western Conference semi-final series.
The Series is now tied at 2-2 heading back to San Antonio for Game 5.
Edwards scored 16 of his 36 points in the final term as Minnesota erased an eight-point deficit early in the fourth quarter at Target Center.
The Wolves levelled the series after Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama was ejected early in the second quarter following a Flagrant 2 foul on Minnesota big man Naz Reid.
Minnesota struggled to fully capitalise on Wembanyama’s absence for much of the night before Edwards took over late, drilling consecutive clutch threes to swing momentum back toward the home side. Reid added 15 points and nine rebounds, while Rudy Gobert finished with 11 points and 13 rebounds.
San Antonio stayed within striking distance through its backcourt, with rookie Dylan Harper and De'Aaron Fox combining for 48 points. Harper scored 24 points on 8-from-11 shooting in 27 minutes off the bench, while Fox added 24 points, four rebounds and three steals.
The Spurs led 97–89 early in the fourth quarter after Fox connected on a three-pointer, but Minnesota responded with a 19–4 run to regain control. Gobert’s dunk with 1:56 remaining pushed the Wolves ahead by six before Dosunmu iced the game at the free-throw line.
