It hasn't been a great day for Aussies in the NBA despite Boomers big man Jock Landale continuing to make the most of his opportunities with the Memphis Grizzlies.
Indiana Pacers second-year wing Johnny Furphy has another injury to deal with, Tyrese Proctor didn't see the floor until the end of Cleveland's win over Philadelphia and Landale's Grizzlies search for any type of consistency, amongst issues with star player Ja Morant, continues.
NBA Box Score: Cleveland Cavaliers vs Philadelphia 76ers
Rookie Aussie guard Tyrese Proctor played the final minute of Cleveland's 132-121 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers at Rocket Arena.
The Cavaliers found some offensive form after struggling on that end of the floor to start the season, putting up 40 points in the first quarter.
It was Philadelphia's second straight loss after losing to Josh Giddey and the Chicago Bulls on a Nikola Vucevic game-winner on the first night of a back-to-back.
NBA Box Score: Indiana Pacers vs Brooklyn Nets
Aussie wing Johnny Furphy missed Indiana's upset 112-103 loss to the Brooklyn Nets with an ankle injury.
Before the game, Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said Furphy was expected to miss at least the next five games. It's another injury issue for the former Kansas Jayhawk, who suffered an ankle injury during the preseason, and missed the season opener due to foot soreness.
Brooklyn were winless before the contest.
NBA Box Score: New York Knicks vs Minnesota Timberwolves
Boomers legend Joe Ingles played three minutes as the Minnesota Timberwolves were blown out by the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden 137-114.
Rookie big man Rocco Zikarsky is on assignment with Minnesota's G League affiliate, the Iowa Wolves.
Minnesota, who are now 4-4, were without star Anthony Edwards.
NBA Box Score: Memphis Grizzlies vs Houston Rockets
Jock Landale continued his impressive start to the season despite his Memphis Grizzlies losing to Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets 122-109 at the FedExForum.
Landale went 3-from-4 from the three-point line and had 11 points in 21 minutes but the Memphis starters struggled to deal with the Rockets as the bench made more of an impact, especially in the second half.
Landale reached 11 points early in the third quarter but never received much more playing time after that.
NBA Box Score: Dallas Mavericks vs New Orleans Pelicans
Australian guard Dante Exum remains sidelined for the Dallas Mavericks as he battles his way back from a knee injury, which has kept him out of the entire season to date.
NBA Box Score: Portland Trail Blazers vs Oklahoma City Thunder
Australian big man Duop Reath had his best game of the season, coming off the bench to play 20 minutes and score 12 points, all free deep. He went 4-5 shooting from three point range, and had a game high +/- of +21. The Blazers handed the reigning champs their first loss of the season, winning 121-119 at home.
