Australian basketball star Rebecca Allen has joined Unrivaled, the US-based 3x3 women’s basketball league founded by Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier.
Allen, a mainstay of the Opals and one of Australia’s most accomplished international players, who is currently playing in Turkey, brings nearly a decade of WNBA experience to the competition. The 31-year-old forward played last season with the Chicago Sky, where she started in 17 of 44 games and averaged 5.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists in just under 19 minutes per game.
The 6-foot-2 guard joined the Sky via trade from the Connecticut Sun, which had acquired her from the New York Liberty in 2023. She began her WNBA career in New York after stints with WNBL clubs including the Melbourne Boomers and Southside Flyers. Known for her defensive range and three-point shooting, Allen posted a 34.6 percent clip from beyond the arc on nearly 110 attempts last season and scored a season-high 27 points against the Dallas Wings in July.
She also represented Australia at multiple FIBA Women’s World Cups and Olympic Games, serving as a key two-way contributor for the national team.
Allen joins fellow Aussies Alanna Smith and Ezi Magbegor on Unrivaled's roster of players.
Unrivaled, which launches in January 2025, is a player-founded league featuring top WNBA talent competing in a new three-on-three format designed to give players more year-round opportunities and creative control over their careers.
