Every WNBL is actively trying to build their teams ahead of the WNBL 2025-26 season

Reigning WNBL champions Bendigo Spirit have an absolutely clean slate heading into the 2025-26 season.

WNBL free agency starts today and the Spirit have no contracted players. WNBL MVP Sami Whitcomb will not be back for next season after deciding to take her talents to Europe on an offer too good to refuse. She could be the first Spirit domino to fall in a complete rebuild for the the Victorian club.

This is what we know so far:

  • Agnes Emma-Nnopu: TCU Horn Frogs ➡️ Sydney Flames (Guard, 1.80m; Senior from Ocean Grove)

This is a complete list of the 2025-26 WNBL rosters. As each club signs free agents basketball.com.au will update the team lists.

Coming off a 2025 WNBL Grand Final appearance, Townsville Fire coach Shannon Seebohm is confident heading into the free agency period: "We’re in a strong position heading into free agency, having retained six core players from last season’s team.

"Our focus now is on finding the right pieces to complement that group. Players who align with the way we want to play, fit our culture, and under the depth and versatility of our roster. I’m really excited to get started and build this next version of the Fire."
